The grease drips from the front of the lid. No, we don't eat greasy food...steak, hamburger, and ribs. Run a paper towel under the front of the lid and you'll see.I've never quite understood why you need a grill mat --- especially for Webers...... others, maybe. Where is the grease leaking/dripping from?
My only issues have been when you hang tools from the hooks (tools get hung on a leftover frame OFF the deck but within reach) or when you clean the grill and chunks of crud go flying. I will concede the occasional spill does occur, but that would more than likely miss the mat anyways.
The thrill of the hunt!As far as tool boxes though I'm just too cheap. Going to have to wait for a sale or or snag one off classified ads
It’s like the proud, wirey old grandpa, showing off his ripped and good looking grandchild that grandpa knows will struggle to make it in today’s world. Can’t happen too fast. Those two just don’t look like they belong together
See my answer to thisI am always afraid to use something like that on my deck. I am afraid it will trap moisture between it and the deck causing rot. What do you guys think?
I agree and like you mentioned the grease is a good treatment for the wood. If your deck has a good coat of stain on it the grease might be easily wiped up? I know my charcoal concrete pavers absorb the grease immediately and it doesn't want to come out.I am always afraid to use something like that on my deck.
