Yah, my first thought was that those AF lids were normally on Silver B/C grills. My thought as well.

I think that you are right about that. I think those are the only one I have seen those lids on.Yah, my first thought was that those AF lids were normally on Silver B/C grills.
Sounds about right to me too. I just know it wasn't on any wood slats grill.I think that you are right about that. I think those are the only one I have seen those lids on.
There is one for sale in Arizona with that color lid and I think it has black durawoodI guess it is hard to say. Back in the early to mid-eighties, brown -especially in that kind of orange tone brown - was a popular color. Just based on the old grills I have seen and/or picked up, though, I would say red and black were more popular.
Anyone else have an opinion?
Very nice!Rich Dahl's restored chocolate brown lid.
Do you still have it?I picked this one up in 2020:
I agreeYes, but I prefer the detail in this one. The chocolate seems kind of plain in comparison, and durawood is better suited for outdoor living.
The maroon lid also changes color, depending on how the light hits it.

That ad has been up for almost two years now. I sent a message to the owner way back then and never received a reply. It was the right grill, right price, right distance to drive and.... nothing.Skyline in IL, looks like minimal fade in pics. $50

Really? That is a bummer! My FB MP seems to stretch pretty far, and to my recollection I haven't seen it. Shame, looks like a very promising candidate for a restoration. That ad has been up for almost two years now. I sent a message to the owner way back then and never received a reply.
