I will just leave this here

So sorry Cody. My condolences truly. This past Nov 25th my mom would have been 100. She left us just shy of 90. Sadly in her case we lost her twice. Once to Louis Body Dementia and when she actually passed. Every once in a while I'll make something I remember from her, and I almost feel like she came down from heaven, kissed me on the cheek and said "ben fatto Mio Figlio"

My mother was well known for making small batch fudge for family and friends around the holidays every year. I’m not usually one for memorials or things like that and I will certainly never be mistaken for a baker or candy artist but I felt compelled to pick up the torch and carry on the tradition after her passing more than a decade ago. Here’s just one of many pans I turned out yet again this year.

I agree. I lost my Mom a few years ago and it is really hard. I still have one of the plants (flowers) that was left at her funeral and I just watered it this morning. It reminds me of her every time I see it. Funny how sometimes it makes me sad and other times makes me smile.
Take care this Christmas season.
