I will just leave this here

UHHHHH, Yah, its free and it probably has those SS 9mm grates that can be used on a Genesis 1000/Silver B. I think the tables and end handles are also compatible with Silver B's. WHo knows, maybe the rest of the grill is in great shape as well.

That’s not what I thought Summit stood for! That sucks. Still a cool grill. Looking forward to seeing its condition
After rebuilding my brother's I can say the quality on those is bad. Poorly constructed all the way around. The only thing they do is get HOT I mean REALLY hot. IMO too hot. Plus very expensive parts i.e. flavorizer bars, honestly IMO they're not worth the bother. Some may feel differently but they don't even come close to build quality of the 1st gen Summit or even a Genesis of that era

I asked for the condition of the front inside of the firebox. He replied all that is wrong with it is the ignitor. It is 20 minutes away, but I am holding out for Genesis 1000.

I tend to agree, but I would still give an honorable mention to the Platinum stainless steel frame and cabinet version. Fix the firebox issue, like I did on the 1st generation Summit I bought from you, and I think you would have a pretty nice grill. However, you are very right that this is only if you don't mind the expensive - or hard to find - replacement parts you will have to buy to keep it going.
