I will just leave this here

One of my favorite grills came up for sale in AZ. The Genesis ii 240 two burner grill. I'm now going all in restoring my Genesis Junior two burner for that house so not sure now but I'll never have an opportunity to get one brand new still in the box again.

I feel like that lid on Josh’s is more sparkly than anything I’ve ever seen! I’m going to have to take a closer look at the black 1000 lids in my basement now!

What’s weird about the sparkle on his lid is how large the sparkles are, it very much reminds me of glass flake in automotive paint. i believe that got popular in the late 70s-early 80s. Which I would think it is very possible to do with porcelain coating, or maybe a plant worker got creative with a few lids?

The final coat as I understand it, is basically like a sprayed on glass coating. So I would imagine the overspray could easily be picked up and thrown in the air over prepared lid awaiting a final coat.

But that sparkle on Josh’s lid, is incredible!

Again. This is just my imagination running wild. I’m not sure how there isn’t a former or current Weber employee on here telling us what they remember, or if they all had to sign a non-disclosure agreement 🤣

Do these ceramic serving trays normally come with the black metal trim on each side. I have seen a couple in the past, and I don't remember the black trim on the sides like on the one below.

I will keep that in mind. From what I understand, the Genesis 4 originally came with two of them. The Genesis 5 only came with one since the right side shelf was replaced with the side burner. Since my grill was converted from a 4 to a 5, the second serving tray is essentially extra. I won't be deciding what to do with both of them until next spring though.

Sounds good Bruce thank you!

Anyone ever bought one of these? Thinking about grabbing one for my platinum build and at $43 shipped, I can justify the cost, especially being that the drip pan holder is $20 by itself.

Be careful there Cody. That is for a Silver A (Two burner).
