I will just leave this here

With gray and green lids being talked about, as well as Michigan having quite a bit available, here are three near me, all lingering on FBM

$30 I like that shorter lid, as I do most of our grilling on a newer Silver A. These little guys heat up fast, even better with the short lid. Hard to find colored lids for the Silver A/500.

$50 Wish this had shown up last year when I had more room and wasn't just picking up freebies. If I had started with this grill I probably wouldn't have ever gotten another.

$100 The big green lidded brute, a project for somebody out there

So there are definitely more decent older Gennys in the Detroit area at this time of year than I've seen before.

Indeed, the outer suburbs seem to be quite ripe if you are within a 1 hour drive of the Detroit metro area (e.g. Jackson, Lansing, Saginaw, etc). If I lived downstate, I'd be out there right now grabbing some of the better specimens. Another good hunting area is around Grand Rapids and vicinity.

This grill looks pretty nice for $100.

I was just looking at that! Even screen shot it to post here!

It’s hard to tell if that’s Weber fade or cloud reflection. I can’t believe if the wood looks like that, that’s it’s faded.

Yah, it looked like a grill that was very well maintained, but not really rehabbed or even DEEP cleaned.

They're tanks. IIRC I was reading another appliance thread about Viking grills. Seems there was 2 lines of them. One a "knockoff" Viking hired to look like a "real" Viking and the other a "real" Viking. IIRC the "real" ones were built in USA fake were not

Went and picked this up this morning. Anyone familiar with rebuilding the valves on these? This one furthered my suspicion of NG grills having much better (rust wise) cabinets. Looks super clean! It’s for my brother so we’ll likely be doing a full-on rehab on this one!
