I will just leave this here

If this Green Lid NG Platinum is still available when I return to AZ I will make the drive south to grab it.
I'm looking for a NG 1000 for AZ

I see whats happening here. You ran out of room in Washington so now ur gonna fill up your place in AZ aahahaa

Fade would be my concern. This one looks like it had been stored and or covered. It comes with my favorite Weber cover. The thick old school fitted cover

I like the look of that fitted cover but what I dont like about those old covers is the vent/mesh right at the handle. I had that cover for my 3000 and that killed my wood handle.
Yeah it's definitely a trade-off having that breathability versus letting moisture in

Until this year, I had never seen one before, but this is the second this summer in my area. Seems they went the same way as the weber gas kettle.

With gray and green lids being talked about, as well as Michigan having quite a bit available, here are three near me, all lingering on FBM

$30 I like that shorter lid, as I do most of our grilling on a newer Silver A. These little guys heat up fast, even better with the short lid. Hard to find colored lids for the Silver A/500.

$50 Wish this had shown up last year when I had more room and wasn't just picking up freebies. If I had started with this grill I probably wouldn't have ever gotten another.

$100 The big green lidded brute, a project for somebody out there

So there are definitely more decent older Gennys in the Detroit area at this time of year than I've seen before.

Regarding the big green lidded brute (fat frame Gold) in Ed's post - there's one like this available near me, and the left side table is bent down like 45 degrees in the pictures...but I don't know how these side tables are attached to the frame and, therefore, if it is fixable. If anyone has knowledge of how these fat frame Gold side tables are attached, please share!

If it is bent down and not just a symptom of a broken bracket or missing bolts, then I would be very careful. IF i recall correctly, they are quite strong shelves that would take a Fred Flintstone sized chunk of meat to bend.
Agreed. These table brackets sit down inside the frame and are bolted through. To bend the bracket on the side table would take a Herculean effort. I would think the frame upright would fail and tear through first, honestly.
