I like new stuff.

I've heard great results so far and a wifi adapter in progress for it too? let me know what you think of it I'm considering pulling the trigger on one

Bob, I saw that the other day on their website when I was looking at the Thermopop sale. It caught my eye and I really like it. My only question is, (and maybe you can help me out) what's the difference between it and my et-732?
Thanks,
Tim

I've had a 732 for years and have absolutely no complaints. First, it's Thermoworks. No one has better or more accurate gear then they do. After opening the box the transmitter and receiver are very sturdy and well built. The 732 feels like a toy compared to the New Smoke unit. Programing high and low temp alarms were a breeze literally minutes after firing it up. I never could figure out the 732 but I really didn't care about it either. The probes on the smoke are protected by a spring sleeve at the plug and the probe. The 732 probes were and are very vulnerable I've replaced them 3x (I guess that is a complaint). I walked at least 200 ft and never lost the connection with the transmitter. The 732 range at my house was only about 50 ft.. this weekend I'm gonna do a couple Chuckies and I'll probe one with the Smoke and the other with the 732. We'll see how it goes.

Very nice! I was looking at that and could sure use it today. Barb is making PSB on the 18.5 WSM for her Bunco group on Thursday and I'm doing a Canadian Bacon smoke on the mini and have only the one maverick which Barb has tied up.

I guess I KNOW what I'll be adding to my Christmas List for this year!

I've been wanting to go to a simple Dual-Channel setup, so that I can monitor my chamber temperature on those overnight cooks.
(I have a "cheapo", basic Maverick Single-Channel that has been working pretty good - but I'm due for an upgrade...)

Do us a favor and post a review once you've had a chance to put it to the test, PLEASE

That "Smoke" unit looks like the real deal. It seems priced fairly, too. I've had the Maverick 732 for some time. It does a fine job, for me, but i've had to replace both probes (now have hybrid probes) and just ordered a back up probe. The "smoke" probes look to be MUCH better (professional level). When my Maverick loses another probe it appears that I will be lookin' to Thermowerks for a new unit. It also looks to be much easier to use all features.

KEEP ON SMOKIN',
