Here's what I did...Seasoned with Gary's all purpose seasoning.

Here's where it gets interesting :)
I did a marinade with 10 cloves ( finely chopped) garlic,1/2 onion, 1/4 cup of wostershire , 1/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce. Left in the fridge for 6 hours.

Quick sear on both sides..

Indirect heat with a chunk of hickory and pulled when temp hit 140.

Only sliced half...

Plated with potato salad and bbq beans from Saturdays cook. Thanks for looking. Any suggestions are welcomed. I can't believe I lived without trip tip all this time.

Very nice looking TT Tony but you need to be slapped, and hard for waiting so long to try one!!! Like Jim I like to take mine to 120 internal too.

Your right John why I waited this long to make TT who knows??? But I will cook it more often. I asked Morgan what temp to do the tri and he said 120 also.. But my wife likes meat medium and if I would of pulled at 120 she wouldn't of eaten it. Maribel wants me to do this again soon :)

My Wife likes hers beef cooked more too. She just puts here slices in a CI skillet to cook them a little more.

I thought tri tip, in California, was a baby's first solid food, like pork steaks are here in the StL area.:p

Nice cook, looks like you nailed it Tony!!
