Huli Huli... pie

The other recent Huli Huli posts here were something I just had to try, did a whole bird on my WSM rotisserie with no water pan. It turned out great, but I got no pics as during the course of the cook we went from a low chance of scattered light showers to a nasty severe thunderstorm warning that unfortunately included a bunch of hail, so things got rather hectic. Yesterday afternoon finally turned off much more pleasant after a week of awful weather so we lit the WFO up for some pizza. Still had a little of that chicken in the fridge so I shredded it and and swirled it in the leftover sauce with some green onions. It was a really nice and unique depth of flavors when added to the cheese and crust of a pizza.

Huli Huli pizza, now you've gone and done it. Two of my favorites Huli Huli chicken and pizza a match of perfection.
I'm on it!
Rich, if you have any ideas to tweak it that work post back! I think caramelized instead of green onions would work well. And all we had was standard mozzarella cheese, wondered if something like maybe gruyere in the mix woukd be good?

I think those are both great ideas!

Clay,
That looks so good. We are huge fans of bbq chicken pizza, so huli huli chicken is just taking that next level. Great job!

I ran it by Barb last night and we are going to mess with it a little and see what we come up with. The caramelized and gruyere sound like a good base. I'm looking at some Hawaiian pizza recipes for some ideas., most call for ham so substituting Huli Huli chicken for that should work.
