Here is my 2025 grill that i will be restoring, Genesis 1

The whole key to the project is having the right lid. I don't know how or why, but the lid on my black Platinum series grill was nearly pristine while the control panel was totally shot.
Maybe the guy who bought it from you will just get it super dirty and the igniter will go out and he'll put it up for sale for cheap and you can buy it back. Not likely. For one thing those igniters don't die easy

I put a brand new Weber igniter on it so he won't have to worry about that. In fact, when I restored the grill the original igniter still worked fine. The collector box was just eaten away. The other problem is that he paid so much for it that I doubt he'll be in any hurry to give it away any time soon.

I put new igniters in all of mine regardless if they're still working also

I learn something new every day. I had only seen the 1200 applied to the Skylines before. Thanks Josh.
My pleasure Bruce. One of the great things about this place. I'm thankful for stuff that I've learned from you and I'll probably learn something new here by the end of the day.

LOL. Yah, I am tearing into my next rehab later this morning (SS Platinum) and will probably learn something from that, even though I have already done several in the past.
