Here is my 2025 grill that i will be restoring, Genesis 1

He was sold out before the strike but maybe he will make more. Also another seller on Etsy started selling the more common thinner white walls for cheeper so Chuck may stop selling because of that.

Best option may be put the word out here that you are wanting to buy a single wide white wall. I bet someone would provide one.

I’m trying to embrace and get on board with this project but I’m struggling with the moving target that is the final result. Throughout the thread, I’m reading “no expense spared” and “museum piece” but yet we’re doing things like quibbling over whether to have a tray re-porcelained or not and trying to source a single whitewall insert instead of a matching pair. Neither of those speak to the purported intent of the build and it makes me wonder what the actual end game is here. A true museum piece is no small undertaking and, as someone who has done several deep dive projects, a no expense spared build is a dauntingly terrifying term to me. I wish you well even if I have no idea where you’re going. Cheers to the build!

I will drill a 1/4 inch hole on the marked spot, slide the frame back together all tight and right, then weld the hole and the inside clip that broke.
Of course I'll grind and make everything look good again.
A simple fix, then I'll get the frame and other stuff blasted.1000008818.jpg

Looks like another all-out great job in the making!

I would think for this one, though, it will be more about making it look original while improving the quality beyond even what one coming out of the Weber factory was like.

If you have any pointers on keeping this Genesis 1 as original looking as I can, please feel free to let me know.
Can you tell me what cooking grates would have this grill been born with ?
