Talk about mass confusion. Just watched Kavita Pavel, a doctor and health expert, on CNBC clear up the confusion and now I'm even more confused.

I think , that if you're over 60 , you will need a booster after 6 months and the need increases with age over 60.

And ya should not just go to a pharmacy to get the shot, although I heard no reasons not to do that for the Pfizer. But the Moderna booster is a half dose. And there was something about timing on the Pfizer and J&J, that I did not understand. She said the Pfizer was the normal dose one would get originally.

Booster is suppose to get FDA and CDC approval to begin on Sept 20. But Pavel said that's just an arbitrary date that she did not know where it came from.

My 6 month date was August 13.

Have not gotten it. Will be asking my Dr when I go in for blood work in a couple weeks. Anything that can help get out of all this nonsense IMO.

Both Barb and I are due for the Moderna booster, but like Lynn said confusion reins supreme with when and were.

My wife and I were fully vaccinated before all of the controversy started and the whole COVID thing became a circus. Until such time as the so called professionals can come to a consensus, we'll take our chances sans any booster, masking, etc. If the big guy upstairs calls us before that, so be it.

Last week I heard a fairly long interview on the radio with Dr. Marty Makary. I won't go into his bona fides other than to say he's well qualified to discuss COVID. He had some interesting things to say about the follow-up shots and boosters. Won't get into it here, but if you're interested you might want to look him up on YouTube or elsewhere. He's done a lot of interviews in the media. He tends to get more into the "why" of what he recommends than most of the other experts I've seen talk on this issue.

The FDA has only approved the booster dose for people with compromised immune systems. They state that the fully immunized are adequately protected and do not need additional doses at this time. There seems to be a disconnect with the FDA, CDC and Whitehouse as far as the booster need.

I got a E-mail from Rush yesterday saying the booster is available and I could set up an appointment thru My chart.
I'm going to talk to my Doctor first as I have to see him next month.
