During the week, I am out of the house before 5am to get to my job.

The days leading to today are so nice. Every morning it’s slightly brighter.

I was having a talk with my daughter yesterday about what the longest day of the year means.

Even though the days will be incrementally shorter from now, they will also be warmer, and that’s fine by me.

Our small garden is looking good this year. Tomatoes zucchini eggplants etc on the horizon.

Good times.

Nice TV Rich, I don't think I really notice the days being shorter until sometime in August maybe? It doesn't even matter, late summer through fall is definitely the best time of year here in the Midwest anyways.

Yep today is the Solstice. I will say this. If our winter stays just like this...................relatively mild temps interspersed with a little cold blast, little to no precip to make things hazardous I'll take it and not mind the short days.

I'll have to agree. My knees really appreciate the 90+ heat. They hate the damp cold winter.
