Grillin' out... HOW IT SHOULDN'T BE!

after the 90ºF high temps we've endured over the last few weeks, we woke this morning to this:

i had planned a decent cook out tonight, but decided only to grill a small lunch of appetizers...
bacon wrapped Italian Balls, pepperpoppers and reheated beef ribs...

now i'll have to finish "the yardwork"

...but first, i'll take in ALLL of what's really happening outside and enjoy the sun and HEAT while it's here...
because as we all know, those bogus photos above will be reality too dang soon for most of us.

Thank you all for taking this walk thru a hell soon to come.

ha ha.... it's be in the low 90's here for the last few days - a cold spell compared to the few weeks prior.

For a minuet there I felt sorry for you Jim, you spoofer . We've been in the high 90s-100+ for two months here every day until today it didn't even hit 80. Barb and I are lovin it. Like you said enjoy it because the cold weather is just around the corner.

Too true... & what keeps me from going back. Although, when I win the big lottery, might get a summer home/cabin up North.

I'm willing to split the winning lottery with you Robert! I don't need a big place up north, just big enough for my wife and I plus a couple of guests now and then! Fireplace, reasonable outdoor kitchen space, nothing elaborate, just a grill, maybe a WSM and a spot for two full sized coolers. And access to a fair beer supply.

I don't think I have seen less than high 90's in quite a while. Many days at 100* plus. They say it will hit only 89* this coming Friday. Great weather is just a state of mind.

For the record, it is 84 degrees at 11:35 A.M. heading for 90 today, here. We have just finished a delightful week, then the tornado's hit in neighboring Indiana and Northern Ohio last night. Lots of people put out of their homes and LOTS of damage.

We got lucky, for sure!

once in a while, you gotta rattle your thinking about the current weather and appreciate the warmth and humidity...
i know come late January, i'll be dreaming about the upper 80's, lower 90's mowing the lawn instead of shovelin' snow and freezin' my tush off....
