I think these burgers are a Michigan thing. I guess they are not for everyone but I like them even though I haven't had one in a couple of decades.

85/15 ground chuck on the Ballistic Griddle

Toasted a bun and added Provolone cheese to the burger

Dressed the burger with lettuce, tomato, olive dressing which was just pimento stuffed green olives sliced and mixed with a little mayo. Served with some steak fries my wife made me

Have never tried an olive burger before, but I like ripe olives, so may take the inspiration from your green and try it with black olives.
John, you seem to offer lots of good ideas with your cooking.

I've never seen an olive burger before although I like the idea, going to give that a try. Thanks for sharing it John

Damn, never tried that before, but a big fan of olives, might have to try that this weekend. So just sliced green olives and mayo? Sounds easy enough.

Man that looks great!

We normally combine the olives into the meat before cooking. Must be an up North, Left Coast thing. Green olives go great in meatloaf too. I have been mixing in the ones stuffed with garlic and jalapenos. So good!

I love green olives, all olives actually. Combined with that provolone and olive sauce that is one delicious looking burger!

Made it tonight and damn that's a good burger topping.

You learn something new everyday on this forum, who knew green olives and mayo would would be a hit on a burger.

Thanks John.

Being a native Michigander, I was totally amazed that this was not known world wide!

The basic olive burger is simply thinly sliced or chopped green olives (with pimento) mixed with mayo to your liking. (My wife prefers Miracle Whip)

Cheese is great, as on all burgers, but please, please, please don't add lettuce, tomato, etc. It ruins the effect.

A Purist,

JimT
