Going to Boston! Need help :)

Dear All,

I have previously gotten precious help from you guys on my trip to Atlanta visiting some really great BBQ places on your recommendations. Now the situation is a bit different. For the first time I will visit your great country with my kids. My wife is going to a conference in Boston in May and as the good husband I am then the kids and I will be joining for support :)

We expect to spend about a week in Boston where she will be gone for the conference 3 whole days. I need some recommendations about what to see and where to eat but also what we should do while I'm alone with the kids. They're 3 and 5 at the time so I will surely get my hands full :)

Looking forward to your great recommendations again.

Well, I'm not in Boston and have never been and I'm a Jays fan BUT if I was there in May, I'd take in a Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park. One of the classic fields and a game not to miss.

Even if you're not a fan, it would be a memorable experience. Go HERE to check out their schedule. They do have afternoon games so take the kids for the treat of a lifetime.

Definitely a game at Fenway.

Another popular thing there is the Duck Boat tours. The kids will love it. This is a tour of the city - and the harbor - in an amphibious vehicle. We did this with our kids a few years ago on nearby Cape Cod (they were about 3 and 5 at that time) and they loved it.

I think that they might still be too young to appreciate a trip to Fenway but they would absolutely love the Duck tours! They are officially on our to-do list :)
 
Make sure you all visit the swan boat rides in the Public Garden and the Tadpole playground at Boston Commons. The aquarium is another good option for the kids. You could also take a ferry over to Charlestown and visit the USS Constitution. The transit system (MBTA) is very good, get yourselves a 7 day pass that allows unlimited rides on everything, it's about $20.(kids are free)

Your not kidding! I walked back to the harbor from Harpoon Brewery in 90 degree heat after having a few! Its a miracle I'm still alive...
 
I would suggest walking all or part of the 2.5 mile Freedom Trail. You'll see Faneuil Hall, the Paul Revere house, the Old North Church ("one if by land, two if by sea") and the USS Constitution "Old Ironsides", the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat.

Another suggestion is the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum...very inspiring place to visit.

Old Town Trolley Tours of Boston is a touristy way of getting around downtown Boston to all major tourist sites with unlimited on/off privileges all day long.

Thanks! This was exactly was I was looking for :) NoName Restaurant and some of the BBQ places is a sure fire pitstops :)
