Thanks Steve it's not perfect but no fade or spots. A little bit of wear on the corners but I'm happy with it.Very nice control panel!

Absolutely agree. Also I could be wrong but it seems like as far as the grills I have come across the older first generation grills seem less likely to fade. Could be coincidence though. They are 40 year old grills. Just avoiding the fade is a huge thing.
There's just something about where you live that seems to be beneficial to the long term survival of grills in general, not that we all don't occasionally find an old one still in really good condition.Absolutely agree. They're coming, so don't let that slow you down. You can always pop them on at the end anyway. I highly recommend repainting the wheel itself before adding the new white walls.@Steve Hoch
Hopefully I can get some wide whites from you for this one. I don't want to buy another set from anyone else. If I have to I'll put some newer wheels on it until I can buy some wide whites from you.
Absolutely I agree! Painting the wheels makes a big difference. They're coming, so don't let that slow you down. You can always pop them on at the end anyway. I highly recommend repainting the wheel itself before adding the new white walls.

That's good, I didn't think you were waiting on wheel inserts to finish anything but they are coming soon anyways.@Steve Hoch I have a ways to go. Just finishing all the woodworking alone in my spare time will take a while. I don't like to rush any of it. I'm leaving for AZ in about 8 days and I'll be there for two weeks so...
No rush. That's good, I didn't think you were waiting on wheel inserts to finish anything but they are coming soon anyways.
I figured you would rather have really nice ones and not something I wasn't completely happy with myself. I agonized over a lot of small details on the other ones, these are no different. No rush.
I happy to wait for your craftsmanship.
And you are right I'm not held up or anything like that.
I trust you and the quality of your work. If you give it the Steve Hoch stamp of approval I have no worries.I figured you would rather have really nice ones and not something I wasn't completely happy with myself. I agonized over a lot of small details on the other ones, these are no different.
