I would say I'm past the halfway point. This section is next. I also either need to look into refinishing the countertops or getting new ones.

Well, since these grills seem to survive very well in your Washington State climate I may take you up on that offer sooner than later

So I went out in the garage and checked and both end caps are dated 1988 and also the firebox is dated 1988

Most likely 1988 or 1989?

I think I feel pretty good about calling it a 1988 even if by chance it didn't sell until 1989. Parts manufactured 1988 is good enough for me.

Doesn't look in bad shape. Oddly I picked the last one I'd gotten (for a give away) for free and other than the lid handle looked pretty good too. But I had to scramble to get lid handle parts and eventually another member here helped me out IIRC. So, being "all there" is worth a few $$$

Anywhere from free to $40 would probably be my preference. It's on my list of things I'd like to try.

I think the Q3xxx is the most versatile of the Qs then followed by the new Q2800N+ I think that is what it's called. Basically a Q2XXX made like a Q3XXXX

The cool thing is you can even do a simple rotisserie setup on the Q3XX and it's really quite efficient. Not using mine currently. I removed it from the deck when I was having it refinished. Just haven't moved it back yet
