Genesis Jr Restoration

I need to make a list and execute it of things that I need for my junior when I head back to Arizona. Off the top of my head I'm thinking a spare set of burners while they're still available. Custom cut one of my spare sets of 9930 grates. New pair of wide white walls older style. Dave's flav bars. I need to rob the natural gas valve/manifold off of one of my other grills. Igniter decal. New SS screws for wood slats. Cleaning refinishing and painting supplies will be purchased there. Can anyone think of anything else I may have overlooked? That I might need.

If youā€™re going to keep a warming rack there is a way to cut down a stainless one from a later small spirit. I describe how to do this in my post on our Junior.

I think the original will clean up just fine. Considering I'm going to put it to work right away but a stainless one might be nice. Can you send me a link? Never mind I found your post.

Are you going to buy tools for AZ or pack them?
I'm going to put them in a full size checked bag suitcase.

Going to leave some of it there though. I bought another dewalt impact and charger and batteries that I will leave there. I have basic wrenches and ratchet socket set already there. I'm not sure if I'm going to bring something to cut the grates down there or I'll probably just cut them here before I bring them. I just have to remember the measurements. I think it was an even 18 inches wide maybe 18 1/8" Max

I would absolutely think the same. These are definitely not a ā€œthere will be moreā€ kind of thing. How long of a trip would it be?
I haven't mapped it out exactly. If I left really early in the morning I should be able to get all three of them and back late at night same day. I know that's too far and not worth it for a lot of people but I'd be willing to sacrifice one full day of driving to grab three of them.

I'm still waiting for a response from the closest one. If I could at least grab that one it'll be worth it. If I can line that one up and lock it down I will go and try and get the other two also but if I can at least grab that closest one I will.

Closest one is about 2 hours. Farthest one is about 5 hours. With one in between.

Thatā€™s dedication, that I can get behind for what for a lot of us are once in a lifetime things. Snatching up 3 in one day would be pretty legendary.
Getting all three of them lined up is definitely a long shot but we'll see. Stranger things have happened.

The closest one to me is definitely worth it. The second closest one is only worth it if I'm nearby and the third closest one is only worth it if I can lock down the first one. If that makes sense.

Josh, I love to pick up multiple rehab candidates when I go out. But it is always very hard to do to make deals and coordinate all the desired pickups to one specific day in the order that works for you. A lot of it has to do with luck.
Yeah I've picked multiple grills up in a day multiple different times but I consider myself lucky.

Before barbecues I made a decent amount of money flipping furniture and electronics from different classified ads as a hobby so I also do have a lot of experience. Negotiating and marketing a product properly can make all of the difference. This is how I can sell different things for multiple times what I paid.

I'm not special or anything and I hate that it sounds like I'm bragging because I'm absolutely not. It just helps a lot to know the right things to do and say to buy or sell optimally.
