Genesis Jr Restoration

I was under the impression that this was a keeper, none user grill.
None the less, it looks terrific 👍
Thanks Mark! The plan is to use this as my main grill. Most of the time I cook a few burgers or steaks or a pizza. I'll have a bigger secondary grill for the rare occasion that I need to cook more or multiple pizzas at once. This is what works for me in Washington with my Genesis ii LX grills. I use the 2 burner daily and the 3 burner occasionally.

That is the plan larry. I did buy one of those cheapy guns. I just havent taken the time to give it a try. But, I think I will be doing that this Spring. I may hit you up for some help in getting it all set up to shoot paint.
How big of a compressor and tank do you have? You will also be amazed how much more comfortable it is to your hand to spray with an HVLP gun.

It's amazing the difference in comfort and speed between spray cans or conventional suction type sprayers. Less air pressure needed, less over spray. If you use liners cleanup is MUCH simpler as well. And it's a lot more economical $$$ wise, to simply mix what you need. And you can get a surprising level of quality even out of the el cheapo HF spray gun. I know somewhere I found a YT video of how one guy actually did an entire show car with the cheap HF purple gun

The Graco airless sprayer I have works very well for a wide variety of projects. This year I used it to paint all my kitchen cabinet doors and drawers and to paint the inside of my mother-in-law's garage. You just have to use the right sprayer tip for your project. The only downside is that it's sort of a tedious process to clean it when you're done so you have to really plan out your painting in advance to do as much as possible before having to clean it out again.

I have an older one. I was thinking about 5 gal, but the label says 11 gal. It does OK. But, I had it out a couple weeks ago to swap summer to winter tires on my daughter's car and it barely removed the lugs each time and I had to let it fully recharge each lug. I was using a new HF Earthquake impact so not sure if it was the gun or the compressor struggling. It could be the guy that did the tires last time put them on way tighter than the 100 ft-lbs they are supposed to be. I got it done, but I guess in my limited experience, I expected more from it.

That may struggle to keep up with spraying, even with smaller projects. You could keep an eye out for a bigger holding tank to plumb it to. One issue I could see is moisture in the line painting outside in nicer months. These guys help out with that.

I used to use really cheap guns for priming and sealing just because of how gunked up they would get. But you can achieve great results with them. It’s really all about getting the spray pattern set and keeping a good overlap.

I’ve probably got some pressure regulator/gauges laying around you can have that I’ll bring when we meet up. If you want to save yourself $15-20. Those are nice to have to get your spray pattern set.
