Genesis 1100 rehab

Rick, Do you have a pattern or measurements for recreating the handle on this grill? Or do you know if anyone out here does? I’m redoing a Genesis 1000 right now and it’s got a Durawood handle, that frankly, I think is ugly. My Dad’s going to make some slats for me out of walnut or cherry and I’d like to match the handle to it.

Sounds like a perfect way to help Brian out. My friend in Florida made me a half dozen new ones using an old one as a template. He is very good at woodworking, but he found it more challenging than he originally expected. Those oval holes are a little tricky.

That is going to look awesome! Can someone tell me what that is on the left front frame, the flat piece that comes down.

That’s the bracket for the flip up shelf.
