started Friday's dinner with a WD cocktail...

an hour later, got these guys out to warm up to RT...

rounded up a few carrots (planned on grillin' these, ended up stove-top)

on the 26"OTG, a few knob onions with a skillet of mushrooms...

then the Cowboy steaks, seasoned with Penzey's Mitchell Street Steak Seasoning.

after a ten minute grill and a brief rest, dinner was served with a smile!

Mushrooms, onions, taters and carrots sang songs along side the rib eye steak...

then.... Saturday, we cut up a yardbird,
soak her in Goya Naranja Agria a few hours then seasoned with Penzey's Adobo Seasoning...

oh yeah, tossed in a few halved taters too...
fired up the same 26"OTG, and away we go!

That chicken looks super (not that I would pass on the steaks mind you) some of the best chicken I've had was cooked in CI over an open flame..looks perfect Jim!!
 
Thats a nice CI meal Jim. I love your use of varied vegetables. And where do you find such a selection and wide variety this time of year up there in Wisconsin?
 
Like others said I want to try that CI chicken on the grill not to say I wouldn’t dive in to either plate both look outstanding.
 
Two great looking meals. The flavors of your chicken is something I would really like to cook. Looks great!
 
DANG JIM....I almost had to take a knee after seeing this cook. Take a look at this picture and you know it's a MAN's plate! The type of man that knows his way around the grill and a man that knows good beer. Best plate of 2014 YTD.

 
Jim, If I ate like you do, I would weigh in over the limit - I'm sure! I don't know how you do it? Please don't stop, though!
