Friday Night Chuck Eyes

Jim Lampe

TVWBB 1-Star Olympian
Thursday night bowling, a young woman (Amanda, a wonderful bowler) rolled her 1st PERFECT 300 game on the lanes next to us...
It was fun to see her excitement and her major bowling accomplishment.

then, Friday after work, I stopped at the local grocer to pick up a few things...
these ▼ were included.

although I did not use these, I had a few out of the freezer from last fall - these are mere replacements...
the steaks from last September & October were seasoned simply with kosher salt & pepper.

it was pretty danggum cold outside last night...

...I Pray this cold spell will ease up a bit... gets to be a drag after a while...
anyway, got the chuck eyes on...

sitting out there with these guys was quite numbing... thankfully, the fire inside the Weber was very hot...
I removed the steaks just about the time my ___ froze....

but I got them inside the house before my _____ froze.
The sides of taters, onions, 'shrooms and asparagus were prepared inside, most in cast iron.

I am certain most of you will believe I ate this ▼ entire plate... however, it did take some time.

I thank you all for stopping by...
and I hope your weekend is progressing in the fashion you are most accustomed to. :D

Beautiful steaks (which probably never get here) and perfect sides! Magnificent plate dude. But I want to see Amanda, I see only screen score board:mad:. And I want to see more pictures of your new toy (I don't think Amanda of course:rolleyes:);)

I'm with you my friend, we had a heat wave the past few days, got all the way up to 24 for a high. Whew. High in the teens the past few weeks. Anyhow Guy's like us just keep on truckin no matter what and your truck load looks superb my friend. Sorry I missed that plate.

Some great looking grub Jim. 49 degrees is decent, we only topped out at 53 today, but I still got out and grilled.

Thank you everyone :o
New Q was used also? Shiner sold up your way?
Tim, the new Platinum Performer was used and Shiner is available here, although not every store carries it. Got the hook from drinking it visiting Corpus Christi in 2006

I don't doubt you took your time devolving that fine looking meal, Jim!
Thumbs up on the Shiner, thumbs up for whatever you cook on and I'm w/Clint

I still haven't found chuck eye steaks.

I'm gonna keep lookin'. It's probably right in front of me with a different name...:)
