First kettle pizza cook

Tried out the KP tonight. Used store bought dough from whole foods. Didn't want to spend time making dough on my first test run. What I like about this is that I can see the pizza unlike the way i was doing it before. I'm going to change my set up a little next time. I'm also going to but a small pizza peel so I can turn the pizza easier. Sorry for the blurry pic. Pizza on the right is first pizza.

Here's here's video of the second cook. Kinda boring.

Thanks guys. I have a lot of room for improvement on this especially since these were my first 2 pies on this rig. I think my next setup will work much better.

Nothing wrong with that. I would tear them up. Mine arrived today! What are you thinking of doing differently on the next run?

The pizza was good.

What I'm going to do next time is move the fire up by putting it on top of another cooking grate below the grate the stone is on.

Great looking pizza, that's the only way to do them. Seeing your makes me think it's time to do some more. Like to have some in the freezer for when you don't want to cook tonight.

Bravo!

What were you using in place of the kettle lid, just a piece of steel?

I saw one of those on Craigslist for $70. I passed on it, and now I'm kicking myself. Good job on the pizzas.
