Thermapen! Whoopeeeee! Cooked up some wings and thighs on the grill 4th of July and used my new ultra fast red thermapen. It worked amazing! Fast you ask? My word , it is blazingly instantly fast! No more burning the hair off the back of my hand for this kid! Wow!
BTW note the ambient temp being measured as the thermapen rests on the table next to those wings. It has been hot as a habanero here this week and muggy as the swamp.

I think the Thermapen is a FINE addition to your grilling gear. It's a bit pricy but I am MORE than happy with mine. I even caught my wife using mine in the kitchen:rolleyes:...

I got Brian a lime green one. He's color blind and it shows up well in the kitchen junk drawer. He loves that thing and rarely uses it without commenting. He, too, loves that it's not only fast but will tell him the ambient temp, too!
