Haven’t been using an actual log, but did keep fairly detailed notes and took lots of pictures. Here are some of them, serving as a kind of pictorial documentation of my inaugural cook in a WSM 14.5".

Great cook! You will LOVE the 14.5" WSM. It's a great smoker and frankly, it is big enough for most of us, without question. Nice photos, too!

I use the WSM in that size , but foil the pan no water. My first cook or two the temps went a bit high , but now it is gunked a bit inside the temps are a lot more stable.

They really are great things ......
