Entered my first competition on Sat and out of 50 Ribs Teams, I got 13th just a half point shy of 10th.. The ribs were good, just slightly over done. I used a Cherry/Apple mix on the wood and did a light sauce on the tops to finish them off.. I entered the chicken and this was my second time doing chicken on the grill and with a NEW sauce I made the night before.. I got 6th out of 35 teams, and 1 point from 2nd place, the sauce was spot on and I know I got dinged on the presentation.. So overall, it was good, good food, cold beers and FUN...
There was 3 of us in one area, and we all were on the WSM as our smoker.
