DDoS attacks

Over the last few months, and as recently as this morning, the forum has been hit by a series of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks in which many computers inundate our servers with malicious traffic that overwhelms the servers, denying normal traffic from legitimate forum visitors.

Our internet service provider does a good job of identifying these events in real time and dealing with them, but in doing so you may experience moments of slow forum performance.

Just wanted to let you know what’s going on and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Best,
Chris

I remember the first ddos, it was September 1996, a year & a month after Window's 95 was released. Cisco thought they were unhackable, and that ddos took Cisco down big time. It's one of the easiest hacks, and still very successful nearly 30 years later

I've been having trouble accessing and using the forum myself for about a week now. Today seems much better so I guess that explains it.
