Today we went on a day trip to see the fall colors & have a burger on the mountain.
We took these pictures on a forest service road between Rico & Durango Mountain Ski resort, hope you enjoy the colors and the rugged mountains.
Time to start some beans & burgers on the fire & Weber Go anywhere grill
Fast getting done, two burgers on the Weber & one in the cast iron. Gonna be good.
Time for a burger on the tailgate. The old grill goats kind of table, mountain dining at it's finest.
This is a view of the mountains from where we had lunch. Enjoyed the view, thats all folks
 
Super scenery and cooking Russ!
We came out too early this year for full color on the aspens.:(

ps, wanted to let you know that I saw tri tips at the Salida Safeway, think they were $5.99/lb.
not sure if other Safeways carry them.

bob, if you were at Salida you were only a few hours away from here. Yes, they sell tri-tip @ Albertsons here in Durango for $4.99 this week. At Natures Oasis our local Angus meat store they sell them for 10.99 a lb. Great meat if you can afford it.
