Custom Handles

I came up with an idea for adding handles to the mid section of the WSM, I sent my sketches to a friend of mine and he fabricated stainless steel handles that use the existing holes. My wife came up with the idea to hold the Thermoworks using a cell phone holder designed for a stroller.

Absolutely, let me dig through my paperwork and will post the sketches.

Sketch attached, not sure if the PDF will work so I sent the picture as back-up. I cut an 11" radius out of a piece of sheet metal, put it against the smoker and marked the existing hole locations. The one thing I would change is the length of the slot for the screw. The smoker is not perfectly round, you will see when you move the template from one side of the smoker to the other and the stand-offs will pull a little from the welding. I made mine at 1/2" but would suggest 5/8" or 3/4"

I work with a lot of Architectural Hardware and became friends with Mark Ingratta from Bella Hardware in Chicago. He took my sketches and fabricated the handles for me.

They are handles for a Blaze Kamado, cast aluminum egg thing.
