Curb Alert !!!

I picked up a Genesis 1000 off of a old man who was moving and as a favor to help him I took his Silver B also.
It has a perfect condition black pinstripe lid with black handle.Would be nice if someone who is into Silver B grills could use it. Have given most of the other parts away that are desirable. I need to get rid of that Grill but it would kind of be a shame to junk that lid.

No, not all frames do, but I have seen several one swing table frames that do have the right side latch available, just not used on the grill from the factory.

I do like the dual tables on the shorter framed grills. Makes me feel like I am in a cockpit of cooking lol ... and the table on the right is where I like to set my beverage!
Even tho I like the idea of flip up tables and have coveted them for a long time and been on the lookout for a nice specimen ---- I've never really felt the 'need' to have them.... I've always been able to get by with the 'left table' and use the 'right control area' for placing stuff (drinks). Once I got a front burner (Spirit) with left and right tables --- thats all I've ever needed. To have left and right swing up tables would just be unnecessary for me nowadays for the way I use my grills. I will say that having the table on the Performa kettle is HUGE tho --- life would suck without that...

Jim: You are used to doing without. I think if you cooked on with one or both swing tables for a period, I think you would come to rely on them. With the control panel taken up with knobs, it is very limited in its use for setting items. And the good thing about those old swing tables on the 1000's and B's is that they can easily and quickly fold down out of the way when not needed.

When I cook at the ball diamond, they have a silver C there and the dual tables while cooking 60 brats, 50 burgers, and char marking hot dogs, having that extra table is beyond great. The sideburner never gets used, so I am going to offer trading them a table for it. Only problem is the tables on that one are SO dark, since it hardly ever sees sun, it would look kind of out of place.

Edited to add pic of tables. So much darker than anything I’ve ever come across.

Yes Cody,
I would. I coveted the extra table so much I traded my side burner to Bruce for the worktable on my Platinum C. He was nice enough to help me with that.

Yah, I pulled the side burner from my SS Frankengrill so now I have two side tables and two flip up tables. I always use the left side swing table and sometimes leave the right side table down. But, I generally use all the tables during a cook. The critical times is when you have plates of food going on and coming off the grill when the other tables are full of grill tools, spices, sauces, remote thermometer bases, thermal gloves, and whatever other accessories you are using for the cook.

If I could ever get my hands on that whole grill (still trying to work out a deal with the ball club to acquire it), I would possibly put those tables on my platinum over the SS inset tables.

I loved my old late, black trim Silver B. I am with Bruce in that it is really easy to get used to having the flip up tables available. My 1st gen Summit - my daily driver - has a very large stainless table on the left, and the side burner cover on the right is decent, but the front huge condiment containers really do very little. Really not an ideal amount of space to me. My Silver B was more convenient to cook on, just not as impressively built.

Would still love to find one of these! But not at that price! Looks to be in great shape though.

That one has been for sale forever and ever. I can't believe that none of you have picked it up yet. I would at least throw in an offer if I was in reasonable distance.

One of my goals for this year is to get a black Platinum lid like that. I've got my eye on two in Arizona but I would really prefer to snag one in Washington.
