That one's a real base model, it didn't come with a thermometer.

That looks like a first year XX from 1987. It is missing the center horizontal frame piece, an easy fix. Unfortunately, we don’t have the 1987 catalog to know more about it. I modeled mine after the 1988 version which had the narrow slats but which also had no thermometer.

I sold mine painfully cheap. I wish I could get that one and have a second chance!
