An impromptu cook "suggested" by SWMBO.

I pressed the JJ into service & cooked Cumberland Sausages & various Chook parts.

Homemade BBQ sauce, Aussie Heat Beads & Apple wood.

At one point, the JJ got BIG on me & I had to do a bit of juggling.

Gettin' ready.

Not as spectacular as some cooks, but it was mighty tasty. Thanks for looking.

Bah! Your cooks are always spectacular. Anything with sausages in it, you know it's gonna be gooooooooooooooooood! Wings, Drums & Thighs are the icing on the cake

Your cook looks very good! We have not seen Cumberland sausages over here, how would they differ from say Brats or Italians?

Hi Bob H.
These sausages were made by my local butcher, to a traditional recipe. The Cumberland Sausage is one continuous rope-like coil. But is also made smaller. The sausage is typically filled with coarsely chopped pork and black pepper, and sometimes other ingredients such as herbs and other spices. The meat content, Cumberland Pig, is usually 85% - 98%. Cumberland sausage is a form of sausage that originated in the ancient county of Cumberland, England. We also like Lincolnshire Sausages, which have a different recipe, but equally tasty. I don't know if they are available in the US. If you can find them, buy them! They're gorgeous.

Well, well, well. Looks like you can get 'em in the US >> http://www.britishdelights.com/british-bangers.htm

OT: you might want to put your chimney on something other than cement - I've read about craters being created! ...possible safety issue...

the meal looks really good btw

Clint. Thanks for your concern. I have heard of craters being created also.

That cement is actually 75% granite chips. (The pathway was laid in 1902 when my house was built).
