Comleted the disco! INagural cook, Chicken Green Curry

Looks good. What did you use to get that big disc? Love ingenuity around here!

It's a disc off a harrow. The very center had a 3" square hole that we welded a patch into. Easy to find in farming communities. Not so easy to find in rocky areas like where I live. A friend picked this up for me in the Willamette valley area of Oregon. He found a place that has thousands of them.

the burner, the set-up, the entire thing including dinner looks GREAT!!!
but I must say you have 33 too many ingredients in that recipe ;)

Thank you! Yeah making curry is ingredient and labor intensive. But it's so much better using homemade curry paste.

Case

Is this your own creation or did you have some influence and then trick it out too fit your needs?
Awesome cook and thanks for the flaxseed oil tip.

Whats next?

I can't take the credit for the Discada or the burner. It's a popular cooking implement in Mexico, and the Southeast, Arizona, New Mexico . I did rig up the burner the way I wanted it.

Flaxseed is the way to go. The curing process is the most important step.

Oregon's Rube Goldberg: I dig it! or, should I say: I harrow it

Ha! If I could only illustrate like Rube could! I'm a straight line mathematical kind of guy.

I have a hard time working off plans and have to just pick up a tool and get started. That's why boat building has been a hobby for years. Straight lines not needed!

This is an example of the sort of tool he is talking about. I've replaced and scrapped a whole bunch of worn-out blades like that, and somehow never before saw or thought of cooking on one. It's a brilliant idea!

Case, it looks like you have done a great job building your disco. Just one question, is it really fair to
call it a disco without the ball and lights? :-)

Thank you!

Anything that makes food this good can be called a Disco!
