Christmas Eve Eve Turkey

Won a turkey in our annual golf club Turkey Shoot before Thanksgiving, but since I smoked pork instead of a turkey at Thanksgiving, it didn't go onto the grill until yesterday. Here it is rubbed with KS&P and garlic herb with aromatics stuffed inside (onion, lime, rosemary, I forget what else).

It went on the kettle with some apple smoke at 325 dome temp for 2 to 3 hours. Just about done.

And off the grill resting while ...

These drippings combined with the stock I made earlier from the giblets ...

Nice bird Dale!! I have been debating on which weber to use for my bird tomorrow and I think the debate is over!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Dale, that is a fantastic looking Christmas Eve meal! Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Great cook Dale! My wife plays on our 4-man team at our club's Turkey Shoot, and we've ended up with 6 turkeys in the past 4-5 years. A smoked turkey won playing golf tastes even better!
