Chicken Legs for Game Day

We were going to get some wings to cook up for the game but at $7.99 a pound I think not. Barb had just inventoried the freezers and said we had enough chicken legs to make a few feathered centipedes.
So spicy legs it was.
Got the recipe from Weber’s Time to Grill “Chicken Wings with Hot Honey Barbeque Sauce” I was out of cayenne pepper so I substituted a TBLS of Sriracha sauce in the recipe.
I also finally got the chance to try some “Bone Dust “rub that Brian Dahl sent me.
Really good stuff Brian thank you.
Legs came out great just the right amount of heat and sweetness.

Sorry no plated picture the game had started and we just grabbed a couple each and wolfed em down.

Yes! Sweet Baby Rays makes a Sriracha wing glaze we have been using lately. Rub with Weber Kick-n-Chicken and glaze with the SBR Sriracha glaze. Its not for the faint of heart :)

Your legs turned out good, I'm glad you liked the Bone Dust!
It irks me that the price of wings goes up this time of year - almost broke the beer budget last year buying wings for the SB.

Great looking legs Rich. Good call at passing on wings at that price. I can't even find any around here the days leading up to game day. Was able to find the last pack at Costco a week or so ago. My wife spotted them mixed in with the thighs. After watching most of your game Sunday, I'll bet those legs were the highlight of your day!

Nice legs Rich & Barb. bummer about your Cardinals though.

Bummer is right, they came like a mistake looking for a place to happen and they found the right place. The whole team played horrible. But Kudos to the Panthers they looked about as perfect as you could look.
Go Denver!
