My new recipe for making bread. These are 100% white. I love making whole wheat though 75% fresh ground wheat (I have a grain mill) and 25% a.p. flour.
I've got REAL San Francisco sour dough starter if anyone wants to try some. I bought it from Ed Wood, if your into sour dough, you'll know who Ed Wood is. I have sour and extra sour. Both are in dry form, which I keep in the freezer. I also have his Giza culture, which dates back to Antiquity.
Google Ed Wood sourdough, and look under cultures.
Thanks for the recipes Len. Gonna have to try it. FWIW my grandmother in southern Manitoba made the absolute best bread in the world. She was known for mile and miles. Wish I'd inherited THAT gene! LOL
Funny you should post this. I made bread for the very first time yesterday using Alton Brown's recipe. I was happy with the results. Tonight, I took the remaining loaf and made "pizza" out of it. I have photos of my bread, but not handy. I didn't take pictures of the "pizza". But, I wish I had. My family loved it. For pizza sauce, I used this very simple recipe. I can't wait to try another bread recipe.
