It warmed up to 20 today so that was close enough for grilling. Thanks to Sparky Rowe for his Choink recipe he posted on 12/11/12. This was some Aidells chicken meatballs with a rub and sauce. Also thanks to Dale W for his Quick Shrimp grill he posted on 11/13/12. I took some liberties with both recipes and in spite of that, they turned out pretty tasty.

The Choinks are the caramelized onion on one side and the spicy Mango with Jalapeno on the other side. They were dusted with Penzeys Galena Street. Hey! It says for chicken and ribs so I figured I was close.

Done!

The shrimp was marinated per the recipe Sparky’s wife was good enough to provide. Unsalted butter, siracha and garlic. The sirloin was dusted with Dizzy Pig Cow Lick steak rub, (I love this stuff).

One very messy but happy table with Nancy, my youngest son Eric and me. A fire is going in the family room and a single malt has my name on it. I’m blessed…………..

Man that looks great. Hey I have a question??? What is that white stuff on your patio? I'm from South Texas! ;-)

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Looks like you hit a home run with your take on your "borrowed" recipes. Extra points for cooking in the snow!

BBQ in a snow storm!! Classic! I am familiar with that!! Meal looks super and sounds like a great way to unwind after a snow storm cook!
