Best pulled pork

This weekend we made our best pulled pork ever. We got a picnic shoulder on sale.

Set up the wsm with cherry and hickory. Under the charcoal there was a few more chunks of hickory.

Picnic was injected with coca cola and BBQ rub from meat church. Then I added the honey hog hot first then honey hog BBQ rub.

The meat church rubs are great. We recommend them.

Thanks for looking

First of all your picnick looks super! Great bark, super moist and great looking plated food! You say you injected with coca cola + dry rub. Is this your first time with coca cola ? Can you detail your injection mixture, please?

What a great day! Who cares about football, when you're eating like that?

Awesome, tony!
Everything looks great.
As an East coast guy, breakfast for a football game doesn't make sense, but I would help you eat any of that!

Yes it's The first time I am checked with Coca-Cola. It was about 3 cups of soda and 4 tablespoons of barbecue rub. I added the rub slowly because it would fizzle up.

Great cook Tony, I do the same thing 265 and wrap after about five hours and on for three or four more hours depending on the size of the butt. Although as you know my first attempt on my 18.5 couldn't get the temp up so it took over 11 hours.
How much charcoal do you use for a cook like that?

Great looking PP and breakfast also. That plated picture is one of the best plates I've seen on this site for a long time.
