Beer.

We spent Saturday up nort' in Duluth, MN at the All Pints North. We went a few years ago, and she really wanted to go back. Warm day, upper 80s, and rather windy, at least one easy-up canopy tried to make a break for freedom. Well behaved crowd, not oversold, and generally not difficult at all to get a sample anywhere. I did not observe anyone that had departed controlled flight (yes, that's a good thing.) Unfortunately, I did not take any pics, but there's gonna be shots on social media.

Stand-out for me was probably the imperial boysenberry cherry lactose sour, served as a slushy. I'm generally not a fan of sours, but I'd schlurp that down to a bad case of brain freeze on a hot day any time.

These festivals are a good way to sample a lot of different brews.
My brother is on his way to Duluth where his new Freightliner RV has been sidelined with transmission issues at the Freightliner dealer there

Well, I met two of my 2025 brewing goals recently: I am a member of the Master HomeBrew Program where they have ‘ranks’ for certain achievements based on consistently scoring at a certain level in competition. I achieved the goal of ‘Master Hombrewer’ (according to MHP) by scoring 38+ (out of 50) for 20 beer/mead/ciders in at least 15 categories. I also achieved the designation ’Jack of all Trades’ by scoring 30+ in all 41 categories of beer/mead/cider. 🍻
