BBQ Meatloaf

I wanted to do something different from my standard meatloaf. Going to give it a BBQ taste this time.

The ingredients.


Ready to go.


On the Performer with KBB and some pecan chips.


Smokin'.


Here we are at 30 minutes.


I added some SBR.


Here we are at 160, just over an hour.


Resting.


Plated with some kale, brussel sprout and cabbage slaw with a copycat KFC dressing.


Yes I did tip the plate and drink the remaining slaw dressing.


This turned out great. I think I might add some bacon to it next time. Thanks for looking.

Great looking meatloaf Pat. And yes bacon in smoked meat loaf is mandatory in our house really adds a lot.

Rich, I meant to buy some bacon at the store this morning. For some reason it didn't make it on the list. Gives me a reason to make another meatloaf.

Fine looking meatloaf Pat!
I've had some of mine today for breakfast and lunch, going with salad only for dinner. :)
 
Man everyone is making killer meatloaf, I gotta get with the program. Excellent cook Pat
 
If this was a commercial for nice yards, copper kettles, & meatloaf, I'm sold!

Thanks Cliff. The yard is really a labor of love. We had a hard freeze a month ago, still cleaning some dead things up and trimming back some others. Fortunately, it looks like winter is over here, been hitting 80 degrees every day.
 
Pat, if you can make a killer meatloaf like you just did you can make bacon that will be ten times better than store bought. Take it to the next level and make some bacon.;)

Rich, it is on my short list. Need to make a Costco run and check out some bellies.
 
Pat, that is a great looking meat loaf. Yes do add bacon on the next one is makes it so much better. I won't smoke a meat loaf without adding bacon chopped inside and even on top before adding my #5 sauce.
