Since y'all seemed to like my egg McBob, thought I'd include this morning's breakfast too.

But first, last night's dinner.
Andy's Chicken Breading (sprayed with oil) on 3 large chicken thighs.

I used the basket so I wouldn't have to do too much tending, it was cold and windy out:)
Placed over one layer of coals, and up on the grate flip-ups.

Served up with ready-made (real) mashed potatoes, and ready-made (real) turkey gravy, both from Costco.

Quick, easy, and excellent!

As a kid, the first thing I learned to cook for breakfast was milk gravy.
Two hot sausage patties to start.
IMGP2172.JPG

Added a bit of butter to the grease to make a roux.
Then milk, and then stir stir stir.

I don't make this often anymore, but had a craving.

Super lookin' chicken and sides, Bob! We use the Andy's chicken breading quite a bit here. Lovin' the biscuits and gravy breakfast! Made some myself this morning using some homemade fresh breakfast sausage that I mixed up yesterday. Fantastic pics as always!!:)

Bob what a great cook. My father could make a wicked milk gravy in a cast iron skillet. He has been gone for 20 years now but I have to say seeing that picture of you making the gravy sure brought back some fond memories.

Thanks so much everyone!

Jim, that was Jimmy Dean Hot.
Yes, grease, butter and flour for the roux.
No eggs, there's gravy over biscuits in the bowl, but I should have poured it over the top of the sausage to be more photogenic. :)

Paul.
If I recall correctly, it was my dad who taught me how to make gravy, or maybe it was from watching mom.
Too many years ago.
