Barbs Cast Iron Skillet Lasagna

Barb made another recipe out of the “Cook it in Cast Iron” book. This time it was Sausage Lasagna.
The recipe was easy but cooking it was a nightmare. We started out because of the winds cooking it on the gasser, too much wind for the performer. Well we got out there and there was so much crap flying around in the air we had to close the lid which made it impossible to stir, whenever we opened the lid a bunch of junk would land in the sauce. So we brought it in and made the sauce on the stove and then took it out to the gasser to bake. That worked.
I know we have been raving about this book, but again this was the best Lasagna we’ve ever had, just outstanding flavors.
Here’s a few pictures of the process.
Oh, and me I just made a little garlic toast as my contribution.

That looks amazing. I have been wanting to do BBQ Lasagna forever. I got some great ideas from this thread (like so many of your threads) Thanks for the idea and the wonderful cook

Beautiful! I've only made Lasagna once or thrice (with homemade ricotta, a byproduct of homemade mozzarella!) after some inspiration from a friend. I have the noodles...........................................

I've gone to buy that book at least twice but the kindle edition costs $10 more than the print ----- why??? I'll end up with that cookbook eventually but not until the kindle is cheaper than or at least the same price as print.
