Thought some of you photography nuts might like to see my new toy, so I'll put that at the end.
First up is my Sunday thigh cook.
Boneless, skinless thighs rubbed with a mix of rubs, and wrapped with bacon.
I'm really liking Trader Joe's (Rancher) charcoal.
I used one basket full.
But they were flaming hot, so I spread them out on the grate.
Plated up with, yes, more corn from the freezer.
We love Costco's frozen corn when fresh is out of season.
The meal was highly praised by Jo Anne, and that's what I always shoot for.
Maybe only of interest to a few, but thought I'd share pics of my new toy, a Pentax Q.
"The world's smallest and lightest interchangeable lens camera."
It looks like a toy compared to a dslr.
Yes the sensor is small, but the resolution is surprisingly good.
One of the neat things is that, with an adapter, it will take my regular size lens.
Here with a 55-300mm.
A regular size lens on the Q gives a 5.5 crop, meaning it turns 300mm into 1650mm.
Notice the metal chimney on this house.
Here with the lens at 300mm or 1650mm compared to 35mm format.
Not outstanding, but I'm gonna love it for birds and other wildlife.
Hope y'all don't mind me sharing my other passion.
