Ancho-Coffee Rubbed Steak Tip & Grilled Plantains

For tonight's dinner, it was steak tips seasoned with Ancho-Coffee rub from The Spice House, with mushrooms and grilled plantains as the side dishes. Overall a good cook, except for the plantains which came out pretty dry (I'll try again with slightly more ripe plantains, but if that doesn't give me good results, I'll just stick to frying them as Tostones). The steak tips came out fine, with a nice smoky/earthy flavor from the rub. Thanks for stopping by to check out my thread!

Good looking steaks Jerome.
I only had tostones once and they were good. Maybe next time you can post tostones?

Nothing like a little heat and coffee(amazing what it adds to many things, especially chili)..........Looks great.................d

Hey neighbor!! Just perfect looking steak tips!! I'm drooling on the keyboard as I'm typing this. Great shots . . .

That's a great grilling session J. That rub must be great on beef; I make a similar rub. And I love grilled plantains.
