A great afternoon with the little guy

Had a couple great afternoons with my little partner in crime Thursday and Friday. We decided it would be fun to walk along the Kishwaukee River and do some fishing. (Well he'd fish I'd help). So Thursday we used access from Bauman Park in downtown Cherry Valley and then on Friday we hiked along the unimproved paths in the woods at Blackhawk Springs in the township about 3/4 mile south of my house. He caught his first fish from the Kish. As you can see the smile tells it all. It was a little small mouth bass on a Mepps Spinner
