John, every time you make this, i DIE!
You make it look SOO DAGGUM GOOD! I always roast the garlic to BLACK
yours looks EXCELLENTLY AWESOME!! The chicken is FLAWLESS!
PERFECT is the word! PERFECT !!

Since the first time i saw this dish i said tomyself that i had to do it soon.(that was 2 years ago) Still on the list,Looks FANTASTIC John!

Man, that looks incredible!

How long did it take to get to tender in the CI? What temp was the grill?

I make the same thing John, yours looks better though! I'll have to try the CI trick! I always serve with crusty bread smeared with some of the garlic.

When I started the coals I left the kettle open too long so I had a really hot fire going. I put the chicken on to try and sear them but the fire was too hot so I just put the chicken in the pan and closed the lid and both vents. came back after about 20 minutes an the kettle settled in around 375. Total cook time was around 1.5 hours, internal temp of the chicken was around 200 and falling off of the bone. Every time I have made this I have done crusty bread too but this time I decided to try potatoes for a change.
