3D printing an old part

Still working on the actual button, but came up with a pretty faithful reproduction of an igniter bezel for Genesis 1000-5000 and early Genesis Silver grills. It's not the right color, but that's easy enough to change. I'm going to test it on my grill to make sure it functions and holds up but it fits the control panel the same as the original. It's amazing what these 3D printers can do.

Yes, I do. Youtube it. People dye plastic parts all kinds of colors. I do remember someone posting a grill with red knobs and igniter. I don't remember if they were dyed or painted however.

Installed on my grill for product testing. I'm just going to leave it there all summer to see how it holds up to being used repeatedly and being outside. The plastic it's made out of is supposed to be good for outside applications.IMG_20240625_174359576_HDR.jpgIMG_20240625_174353392_HDR.jpg
