We ended up delaying everything on our actual anniversary opting for a full day of as little as possible, breakfast in bed, late lunch watching a movie (in bed) and that was so delightful we didn’t feel the need for the “nice” dinner I had planned so, the feast was translated until this evening!IMG_1378.jpeg

Recipe given me by a very close friend who has passed to the larger life, I think of him every time I make it! Huzzah Andy, you will ne’er be forgotten around here!

If I had any sense, I’d combine my birthday, (26th) anniversary (17th) and her birthday (09-04) and do one feast but, I don’t expect anyone to celebrate out anniversary except the two of us really so, I’ve always kept that more intimate.
I will do a Mass birthday party for the six of us that are within weeks of each other over Labor Day weekend, I think.
Meijers is running a deal on brisket this week $4.99/lb. so, I think I’ll try to squeeze a couple into the freezer and use one for the big feast soon.
